  • DuranGoats uses goats to reduce wildfire fuel loads and invasive weed species. With their uniquely vigorous appetites and digestive systems, goats will eliminate hazardous underbrush in fire-prone areas and reduce the seed-bank of unwanted weeds on pasture. At the same time, they will leave behind fertilized soil, setting the stage for a healthier future landscape.

  • Here on the farm we raise all grass fed meats. We raise a heritage breed of sheep, called the Navajo Churro. As their name implies, the Navajo people in there Southwest have traditionally raised this breed since the early 1500’s. We raise this breed not only because they are adapted to this region, but also because of their superior meat quality. Along side our lamb, we also raise beef. Our cattle add an essential element to our grazing operation, not to mention some of the most quality beef in the Animas Valley.

  • We at Wild Thymes are dedicated to regenerative and chemical-free practices that produce the highest quality food with the maximum positive impact on our land. The farm is situated in the foothills of the beautiful San Juan Mountains in Bayfield, Colorado. We keep ourselves busy with a half-acre in vegetable cultivation and 7 acres in pasture. With broiler chickens, and over 40 varieties of vegetables, herbs and perennials, we are constantly practicing new ways to engage with classical farming knowledge. Pastured chickens are part of a long-term plan to rejuvenate our topsoil while creating a healthy, diversified soil biome. Our produce and chickens are sold through a CSA, several local retailers, and the wonderful Durango Farmer’s Market.
